UFC President Dana White has made it clear that Jiri Prochazka And Alex Pereira are highly likely to fight for the promotion's vacant light heavyweight belt on December 16 at UFC 296.
"Yes it is possible. We like this idea, ”White is quoted by FirstSportz.
Recall that at the end of last year, Prochazka was supposed to hold the first defense of the title, but received a severe shoulder injury. Out of respect for other fighters in the division, the Czech decided to withdraw his championship powers.
As for Pereira, he made his debut in the light heavyweight division in July. The Brazilian, not without problems, defeated Jan Blachowicz by a split decision.
