White sets deadline for McGregor return

Conor McGregor

UFC President Dana White announced that the return of the main star of the promotion Conor McGregor into the octagon will take place next year.

“I think it will happen next year,” White said at a press conference after the UFC tournament.

Thus, White dashed the hopes of the army of fans of the Irish ex-UFC champion in two weight divisions who expected to see him fight Michael Chandler before the end of this year.

Recall that McGregor has not appeared in the octagon since July 2021, when he broke his leg in the first round of the fight with Dustin Poirier. In that meeting, he was awarded a defeat by technical knockout.
