British promoter Eddie Hearn argues that the confrontation of Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13 KOs) and Derek Chisora (32-9, 23 KOs) can ultimately happen outside the UK.
In March, the rivals carefully looked at each other during a press conference, and were supposed to go into the ring on May 23. Later the media reported on the other deadline for their battle - July in England. However, the situation is changing very quickly.
“Currently, many countries are contacting us with messages: 'We want to restore great sport and show the world that we are open for business. We are missing out on interesting offers.' Usik and Chisora will not have to wait long, but they will not fight in July. I’m negotiating with Alexander Krassyuk, Usyk’s manager, about the best option, and perhaps this fight will take place outside the UK,” the head of Matchroom Boxing said.
