Mayweather still may fight Nasukawa in Japan

Floyd Mayweather and Tenshin Nasukawa

Former world boxing champion in five weight categories Floyd Mayweather said that he would still meet a fighter of mixed martial arts Tenshin Nasukawa. The American noted that this fight will not be official; rather, it will resemble an exhibition bout.

“We are organizing a large press conference. It will not be an official fight - something like an exhibition duel. But it will be the highest grossing exhibition battle ever. People say that I fight for money, but look: Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffett - they are in and do different similar things.

“As for the rules, this will be a three-round fight, a small exhibition boxing match, no kicks. It will last 9 minutes, and it will be the highest-paid exhibition meeting in history. It will be organized by my promotional company in conjunction with the RIZIN promotion”, - said Mayweather to TMZ.

Initially, it was reported that Mayweather would fight the Japanese athlete according to the rules of mixed martial arts, but later this information was denied.
