Sean O'Malley, UFC lightweight champion, doesn't rule out that undefeated welterweight Movsar Yevloev could be the next opponent for Aljamain Sterling, the promotion's former featherweight champion.

"Aljo won by a boring decision, so who will be his opponent in the welterweight division now? How about Diego Lopez? Although I think they'll give him Movsar Yevloev," O'Malley said on his YouTube channel.

It's worth noting that Sterling made his debut in the welterweight division on April 14 at the UFC 300th anniversary event, beating Kelvin Kattar by judge's decision. Yevloev had time to react to that win by challenging Aljamain. According to Movsar, he and Sterling, being two grapplers, will show a great fight.

Former UFC lightweight champion Aljamain Sterling wouldn't mind a bout with undefeated welterweight Movsar Evloyev.

"We're both grapplers, and given our styles, we can show something really interesting in the parterre," Sterling said on another edition of the "MMA Hour" program.

Yevloyev responded to Sterling's words almost immediately, writing the following post on his social media accounts:

"It was brave of you to talk about me. I love it. Call the UFC and fight me. I'm ready!".

Recall, on April 14 at UFC 300 Anniversary, Sterling made a successful debut in the welterweight division, beating Kelvin Kattar by unanimous decision of the judges.

Movsar Yevloyev, an undefeated UFC welterweight, said he is ready to fight at the organization's 303rd event, which will take place June 29.

"June 29 at UFC 303 - I'm ready to beat anyone if it leads me to a title fight. While the champion on the world tour shows everyone his championship belt, instead of defending it, I can fight twice and beat two other title challengers," Yevloyev wrote on his social media.

Earlier, Diego Lopez after his victory at UFC 300 asked the organization's management to give him a rematch with Yevloyev.

"I have already asked Dana White to give me a rematch with Movsar Yevloyev at International Fight Week," said Lopez, who lost to Movsar by unanimous decision of the judges.

Sayat Abdrakhmanov, a well-known manager in the world of MMA, believes that the UFC management is acting unfairly towards the undefeated welterweight Movsar Yevloyev.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, former UFC lightweight champion, named the best, in his opinion, opponent for the organization's new featherweight champion Ilia Topuria.
