Lomachenko on injury in Crolla fight: I realized that I could no longer punch with this hand

WBA/WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (13-1, 10 KOs) told about his injury in a fight against Anthony Crolla (34-7-3, 13 KOs).

“I don’t know what happened, but the problem with the hand arose after the final hook, when Crolla fell. At that moment I felt that if he rose, I would have to end the fight with one hand. I realized that I couldn’t hit with this hand.

“Why and how this happened I do not know. Taping, as always, was of high quality and dense. I have now changed gloves. The left hand was clamped well, the right hand - it seemed to me that I didn’t hold it tightly when I was hitting. Because of this, my bone fell down. It turned out a kind of dislocation.

“After the battle, we made a decision that we would go to the factory and we would make gloves right for my arms," Lomachenko said.
