Jean “Lord” Silva (born Jackson Jean da Silva on December 13, 1996) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist from Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná. He discovered Muay Thai in his youth, which became a foundation for his combat training. Silva attributes much of his early development to his wife Carol, who he credits with offering both personal support and balance. He is also known for the “Lord Assassin” alter ego, which he says emerges in high-pressure moments inside the cage.
Silva began his professional MMA career in 2016, making his debut with a first-round knockout of Lorenzo Rodrigues. Over the next several years, he fought in regional circuits in Brazil, amassing a strong finishing rate with many wins by knockout or submission. His steady rise caught the attention of larger organizations, culminating in his signing with the UFC.
Since joining the UFC, Silva has established himself as a prominent featherweight contender. As of mid-2025 he holds a professional record of 16 wins and 2 losses. His UFC tenure is marked by multiple Performance of the Night bonuses, key finish victories such as over Charles Jourdain and Bryce Mitchell, and a reputation for both striking power and improving grappling. He competes out of the Fighting Nerds gym and is ranked among the top 10 in the UFC featherweight division.
