In the main event of the evening in Brooklyn, New York, in the meeting of two ex-world champions Adrien Broner (33-3-1, 24 KOs) and Jesse Vargas (28-2-1, 10 KOs) battled to a draw. The scores were 115-113 in favor of Broner and twice 114-114. The fight was filled with action. At the beginning Vargas looked better, on the ending more forces were saved by Broner.

In the undercard of the boxing evening in Brooklyn, New York, Jermall Charlo (27-0, 21 KOs) scored a KO victory in the second round over Hugo Centeno, Jr (26-2, 14 KOs) and won the vacant interim WBC middleweight title, and therefore became an official contender for the title owned by Gennady Golovkin. After the fight, Jermall said that he would meet the boxer from Kazakhstan with pleasure.

In the main event of the evening in Liverpool, England, former world champion Amir Khan (42-4, 20 KOs) made a quick work of Phil Lo Greco (28-4, 15 KOs) knocking out the latter in the first round. After 15 seconds of fighting Greco was down. This was followed by several more series from Khan, and Greco was again on the floor. The referee waved the meeting off without even starting a count at the 39th second of the fight.
