Former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueredo explained why the next opponent for division titleholder Merab Dvalishvili should be him and not Umar Nurmagomedov.
"I'm ready to fight Merab. Umar is a contender for a title fight? He's only just moved up the ranks! He's had one fight with a serious opponent. He needs to fight someone else at the top. Maybe O'Malley?
I'm out of my weight where I was champion. And I've been through some tough opponents, no walkovers. I'm more dangerous to Merab than Umar. I'm ready to fight for the belt. People challenge me all the time and think it will be easy against me. Nothing like that," - quotes the words of the Brazilian MMA Fighting.
Recall that on September 14 at UFC 306 in Las Vegas, USA, Dvalishvili defeated Sean O'Malley by unanimous decision of judges and took the belt.
