The super-middleweight division has always been full of drama and world-class talent, especially in Britain. It's seen the likes of Benn himself, Jones Jr, Ward, Carl Froch, George Groves, Callum Smith, James DeGale, and currently, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, who holds all four belts in the division.

In recent years, the rivalry between Carl Froch and George Groves in 2013 and 2014 got people excited about boxing again. Their second fight at Wembley Stadium drew a crowd of 80,000 people, setting a record at the time.

Andre Ward, a former Olympic medalist, held world titles at super-middleweight and light heavyweight, and even beat Carl Froch. Roy Jones Jr, who held world titles at super-middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight, is considered by many as not just the best 168-pounder of all time but one of the best pound-for-pound fighters ever.

But Benn, who reigned as WBC super-middleweight champion for four years from 1992, has picked Calzaghe over these greats. Calzaghe's record speaks for itself - he won all 46 of his professional fights. He ruled the super-middleweight division for over 10 years and defended his title against 20 opponents, which is a record.

Calzaghe moved up to light heavyweight for his final two fights, beating both Roy Jones Jr and Bernard Hopkins. His achievements got him inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2014.

Benn's choice of Calzaghe as the best super middleweight ever seems to be based on Calzaghe's undefeated record and his long reign as champion. It's a bold statement that will surely spark debate among boxing fans, but it's hard to argue with Calzaghe's impressive career stats.
