Paulie Malignaggi's Surprising Take on Ben Whittaker's Performance: "It's Not What You Think"

Ben Whittaker and Liam Cameron's fight ended in a controversial draw after both fighters fell out of the ring. The incident left fans and experts questioning what really happened.

The match came to a sudden stop when Whittaker and Cameron tumbled over the ropes. Whittaker said he got hurt and couldn't keep fighting. The judges had to score what they'd seen so far, and they called it a draw.

Many people watching thought something fishy was going on. They noticed Cameron seemed to be getting the upper hand just before the fall.

Former two-weight world champion Paulie Malignaggi didn't hold back when he talked about it on ProBoxTV.

"I thought he quit. But my problem is the commentating. Everyone is looking for a way to cover it up for him. He threw himself onto the ropes and he had his arms around Cameron's arms, so when he threw himself he just pulled the guy with him and flipped over. Yes the guy is in his face and it's physical, but he flipped."

Ben Shalom, who runs BOXXER and promotes Whittaker, said the boxer hurt his ankle and made an old neck injury worse when he fell. But Malignaggi still wasn't buying it completely.

"The ankle I give him credit for, even the commentators couldn't figure out the ankle."

Now, lots of people want to see a rematch. Fans, experts, and other boxers all think Whittaker and Cameron should go at it again. Shalom thinks it'll happen too, but it depends on how fast Whittaker heals up.

All this drama happened on the undercard of a big fight. Artur Beterbiev barely beat Dmitry Bivol to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion.
