Vasily Lomachenko without any problems figured out Miguel Marriaga within seven rounds Saturday night before an announced crowd of 4,102 at the Microsoft Theatre. In the break before the eighth the corner of the Colombian decided to withdraw their boxer. Lomachenko's advantage was overwhelming, but Marriaga still could be noted by an punch with a glove under Vasily's right eye, and, already with his head, into the left forehead. WBO super featherweight champion Vasily Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs) scored a stoppage victory over Miguel Marriaga (25-3, 21 KOs) after the Colombian corner refused to continue the fight after the seventh round. Thus, Lomachenko for the third time defended his title and earned sixth consecutive TKO victory.
