American former interim WBC lightweight champion Ryan Garcia knocked out Mexican Oscar Duarte in the main event of the boxing evening in Houston, USA.
It was exactly the performance the social media star needed in light of recent events. In April, the American suffered the first defeat of his career at the hands of Gervonta Davis, then left coach Joe Goossen, and a couple of days ago entered into an open confrontation with the Golden Boy promotion company.
Garcia (24-1, 20) used his impressive combination of boxing skills and punching power to stop Duarte in the eighth round.
