Wilder knocks Breazeale out in the first round
WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs) scored a first round TKO victory over mandatory challenger for his title Dominic Breazeale (20-2, 18 KOs) in the main event on Showtime evening in Brooklyn, New York.
From the first bell "The Bronze Bomber" went forward and could significantly hurt Breazeale with his powerful right hand. After series of blows "Trouble" answered with his own punches, forcing the champion to clinch.
A moment later, however, it was all over. Accurate right jab sent the challenger to the canvas. Breazeale failed to rise to the "ten", and the referee stopped the fight. It was the 41st win for Deontay Wilder and the knockout number 40!
