"People started belittling Khamzat's qualities." Usman stood up to Chimaev's defense

Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has spoken out about undefeated Hamzat Chimaev.

Usman lost to Chimaev by majority decision of the judges at UFC 294 last October.

"Because of our fight, people started belittling Hamzat's qualities. Everyone says he's not that good. But actually I was the champion.... I think people are misjudging him. I think Hamzat is a serious problem for any opponent. Personally, he made me work up a sweat from the first round," Usman said on the YouTube channel Pound4Pound.

Recall that his next fight Chimaev will hold against Robert Whittaker. The fight will take place on June 22 in the main event of the debut UFC tournament in Saudi Arabia.
