Mayweather could face off rapper Bugzy Malone in yet another exhibition fight

Floyd Mayweather, a retired boxing champ known as 'The Best Ever,' could possibly face UK rapper Bugzy Malone in an unexpected match. Details about this potential exhibition fight surfaced in 2024, just after a series of other high-profile boxing events. Mayweather has only participated in exhibitions since his retirement in 2017.

Mayweather had been quieter on the exhibition front due to a chaotic cancelled match against John Gotti III. The event was scrapped because of excessive trash-talking leading to a mass brawl. Despite the setback and cancellation, Mayweather was compensated, but his plans for further exhibitions in 2023 were delayed.

UK music star Bugzy Malone, real name Aaron Daniel Davies, might be stepping into the ring with Mayweather. Malone started boxing at age 17 and even considered turning pro. In graphics shared by Sport Bible, he speaks about the discipline boxing instilled in him. Recently, speculation around his next opponent escalated when Malone expressed excitement over a possible bout with Mayweather. He stated in an interview posted on Sky Sports: "I have had an interesting name thrown at me in Floyd Mayweather... The minute that Floyd popped up, I was just like 'do it, let’s just flipping make that happen'."

Malone further conveyed optimism about his chances despite the clear experience gap: "His team shouted me, I was just saying 'yeah'." He feels he has a "puncher’s chance" because of being allowed a heavier weight class than Mayweather.
