Aldo explained why he decided to return to the octagon

Former dominant UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo has revealed why he decided to resume his mixed martial arts career.

This coming weekend at UFC 301 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the notable veteran will share the cage with Jonathan Martinez. The fight will take place at flyweight.

"For myself, it was a surprise. I would be focused on boxing. In January, I started talking to my coach about a possible comeback because my goal has always been to be the UFC champion and I have the desire to fight for that belt.

I needed some rest to regain my health. So my body is fine and still I am ready to go. However, now I'm back on track and of course I want to fight for the belt to be champion again. That's my goal," Sports Illustrated quoted Aldo as saying.
