Aldo: "I hope Dvalishvili wins the belt"

Brazilian mixed martial arts veteran and former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo expressed hope that his former opponent Merab Dvalishvili will be able to conquer the lightweight division.

The Georgian is expected to be the next opponent for reigning 135-pound champion Sean O'Malley.

"I'm rooting for Merab Dvalishvili and I hope he will win the belt. If he becomes champion, it will mean that I have only lost to champions. Merab is a great puncher, he is very good at close range, and I think he will win this fight," - quotes Aldo MMA Mania.

Recall that in August 2022, Aldo lost to Dvalishvili by unanimous decision of judges.
