Garcia admitted that his behavior before the fight with Haney was planned

Ryan Garcia, the famous American boxer, admitted that his strange behavior while preparing for his fight with Devin Haney was a planned action.

"We planned it all, months ago. I said: 'I'm going to make everyone think I'm crazy'. I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that. It's going to be called the great escape. I've got it all documented. I've got it all planned out in advance. I honestly don't know what gave me the idea. One day I just decided to go all-in and follow the plan that I had. And I wasn't going to give up on anyone. I was acting sporadic. Like I was just crazy. Making faces, I'd make this (crunched) nose and then I'd say, "It's just a tic." I was making adjustments, but what I was really doing was drinking a little bit during camp. Because I like to drink," Garcia was quoted as saying by Middle Easy.

Recall, Garcia defeated Haney by majority decision of the judges.
