Alex Pereira, former UFC middleweight champion, after defeating Jan Blachowicz, said that he should fight for the title in the light heavyweight division.
“Yes, I have to fight for the title. Because I just won the toughest fight in the division, I did well against the former champion. As for the opponent, it doesn’t matter to me, ”said the Brazilian fighter.
Pereira's confrontation with Blachowicz took place as part of the co-main event of UFC 291, ending with the Brazilian's victory by a split decision.
