World champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko commented on his defeat to the undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“I don’t want to talk about [the referee’s decision]. Everyone saw what happened today,” Lomachenko said. - Before the fight, I thought that he would be better. He is a tough fighter. He is a good fighter. But he is not a pound for pound fighter. I think I showed that I can still achieve something in boxing. I am in good shape now. See you next time. Right now, I want to go home and support my country and my Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”

Former world champion Shakur Stevenson also wished to comment on this refereeing decision. “Lomachenko should be the undisputed champion. He won this fight. He threw cleaner shots and he set the pace,” Stevenson said.
