Hearn negotiates Usyk-Joshua rematch in Dubai

Eddie Hearn is in Dubai, where, among other things, he is negotiating a possible rematch of Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) in one of the countries of the Middle East. The fight is tentatively scheduled for the first half of next year.

“As a responsible promoter, I have to listen to all the quotes for Usyk's second fight with Joshua. I still think that this fight will probably take place in England again, but we cannot turn a blind eye to conversations with serious people," admitted the British promoter.

“We will present all the proposals to the boxers and together we will decide where the second fight will be most appropriate. In the meantime, we are negotiating,” Hearn said.

In the coming weeks, Anthony Joshua will announce whether his coaching staff will change after losing to the Ukrainian in September. New people in the British headquarters can influence the date of the rematch with Usyk.
