Vasily Lomachenko (15-2, 11 KOs) admits that he is not interested in returning the league title in and of itself. The Ukrainian wants to become the undisputed lightweight champion.

The next step in Lomachenko's career will be Saturday's fight with another ex-lightweight champion Richard Commey (30-3, 27 KOs). After which, perhaps, he will be able to fight with George Kambosos (20-0, 10 KOs), holder of IBF, WBA and WBO belts. The last WBC title belongs to Devin Haney (27-0, 15 KOs).

“If someone feels strong, he doesn't talk about it, but the truth is that hardly anyone wants to sign a contract to fight with me. I want to be the world champion again, but a real champion with all belts. Because the truth is, if you have one of the four belts, you cannot be called a real champion. Only a combined champion with four titles can be called that. One, two or even three belts are still not enough. To this day, I believe that I did not lose to Teofimo Lopez, but this fight gave me strength and, above all, motivation. Many great boxers have lost in the past and then come back better, but I still believe that Lopez did not beat me then," said the former world featherweight champion, super featherweight and lightweight champion.

“My goals remain the same. I want to collect all the trophies and become the undisputed lightweight champion. If I have a chance, I will definitely use it,” added Lomachenko.
