Chambers: "Andrade was terrible, and suddenly everyone is interested in Makabu"

Former World Heavyweight Title Challenger Eddie Chambers does not share the enthusiasm of many boxing fans for the information that Saul Alvarez (57-1-2, 39 KOs) may meet Ilunga Makabu (28-2, 25 KOs) in his next professional appearance.

“I witness fans play the narrative saying Andrade is a horrible fighter or not known when it comes to Canelo. America don’t pay attention to cruiserweight division and y’all don’t know who Makabu but are excited… Y’all Have to keep same energy!" wrote Chambers on Twitter.

It is not yet clear if Alvarez's fight with Macabu will take place, but the fight has already been approved by the WBC, whose boxers are champions in the super middleweight and cruiserweight divisions, respectively.
