Allen compared himself to Makhachev

Brendan Allen challenged UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis after his win over Chris Curtis. Brendan touched on the subject of fighting the champion again today, comparing himself to Islam Makhachev, the promotion's lightweight champion.

"If they say I should get another win, so be it, but let's not forget that Islam fought for the title after beating Bobby Green coming into the fight on short notice. I just did the same thing against a tougher opponent with a better resume," Allen stated.

As a reminder, Allen defeated Curtis by split decision on judges in the main event of UFC Fight Night 240.
