St. Denis cited the reason for Puryear's defeat
UFC lightweight Benoit Saint-Denis commented on his loss to Dustin Puryear. The Frenchman gave the reason why he lost to the former interim lightweight champion.
"Unfortunately, I wasn't able to give my full effort this evening. My body didn't do well after a week of taking antibiotics to fight an infection. I was there but my body was absent and didn't react like it normally does," St. Denis wrote on social media.
The bout between Saint-Denis and Puryear took place this morning at UFC 299. Porye finished his opponent already in the second round.
